Day 64

Amy: Ok, game plan… again.

Jim: Well would you rather wander aimlessly through a ship filled with unknown tech?

Amy: The adventurous part of me kind of does actually.

Jim: Well try consolidating that with the more cautious part, shall we?

Amy: Eh, if I feel like it.

Jim: … well let's go over this shall we?

Amy: Fine fine, what do we got?

Jim: Well we’ve managed to explore everything around the Hangar and Reactor rooms, which makes up most of the West Wing.

Amy: Yeah, though it looks like these egg things act like key cards of some sort. It wasn’t able to open a lot of doors so that probably means this is some low level stuff.

Jim: Which is disappointing, I can’t imagine we’re gonna find anything with higher clearance in the rooms we can explore.

Amy: Can always try though, even if all we seem to be able to get into are barracks of some sort.

Jim: Can’t imagine it's comfortable sleeping upright like that.

Amy: Eh, you’ve never seen a Nereid sleep then, they just float in this… goo.

Jim: Considering that they’re an underwater species, I imagine it’s pretty normal for them.

Amy: Been reading up on your Xenobiology huh?

Jim: ...shut up, I got a test tomorrow alright?

Amy: Good luck with that. Anyways we should probably explore the East Wing next, see if we can find anything that could get these doors unlocked.

Jim: Sounds reasonable, maybe we can find the bridge or something.

Amy: Yeah… something is bothering me though.

Jim: What is it?

Amy: We’re standing in a what we assume is a hangar right? Where are the ships?

Jim: You noticed this now?

Amy: Between all the stuff we’ve been through I haven’t really given it much thought, but really, there isn’t anything here.

Jim: Maybe they were all out when this ship crashed here.

Amy: What makes you think this ship crashed? There wasn’t any external damage to the hull, and I highly doubt some random key would just fly out into the middle of the ravine after it crashed.

Jim: True, but that would mean that ship was placed here, without anything else in it… why?

Amy: I honestly couldn’t even begin to imagine why. No one knows why the Timeless Ones do what they do, they usually just huddle up on their planet and don’t bother anybody.

Jim: Any anyone that does attempt to bother them usually gets obliterated… with extreme prejudice.

Amy: I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t, the Nagas had to know they were kicking the hornet’s nest when they dropped a bomb on them.

Jim: Yeah well they decided to stay away after that.

Amy: When your fleet is blown out of the sky by a giant laser fired from the a planet, you tend to stay away from it.

Jim: True, which is why we should be cautious going through this ship.

Amy: Yeah yeah, we’ll be careful.

Jim: Right then, so we’re tackling the East Wing next. That should be fun.

Amy: Yeah, I just hope we find something that lets us see everything else.

Jim: There is always the vents you know.

Amy: If that ever happens, I leave it up to you.

Jim: Man, you really do not like tight spaces do you?

Amy: Eh, it’s more grunt work anyways. I’m the superior officer here, so that makes you the grunt.

Jim: You are doing wonders for my confidence.

Amy: You’ll get over it. Anyways it getting late, we should probably head back.

Jim: Agreed, same time tomorrow?

Amy: Yeah.
