Day 87

Amy: Come on Jim… wake up.
Wraith: There is nothing to worry about Amy, the nanomachines in the medipod will be capable of repairing any damage.
Amy: He was on the ground for hours Wraith. I’m surprised that he didn’t bleed out.
Wraith: The battle frame sealed itself around his wounds, but the internal damage from the Stalker’s blade was extensive. Where your wounds were meant to disable, his were meant to kill. It is nothing short of a miracle that he held on for so long.
Amy: So why isn’t he waking up?
Wraith: The treatment is not complete, nanomachines may be capable of repairing damage but there are numerous areas of damaged tissue that require extensive regeneration.
Amy: ...how much was he stabbed?
Wraith: The Stalker delivered six blows to his abdomen before Jim terminated him. Before that, the Berserker caused numerous lacerations and fractured several of his bones before Jim managed to fell the creature.
Amy: Christ Jim, how did you hold yourself together...
Wraith: The battle frame managed to seal off many of his wounds temporarily in his battle with the Berserker. With the Stalker, however, the blade phased through his frame and damaged him internally, and this one can only assume that it was his own force of will that let him push through the pain.
Amy: None of his internal organs were damaged?
Wraith: Multiple abdominal organs were damaged, but due to your quick actions he was able to be stabilized before passing. This one still recommends that you return to your pod to ensure your treatment is complete. Leaving the medipod early is not recommended in the middle of treatment.
Amy: What did you want me to do? I opened my eyes and I just saw him lying there… you weren’t doing a thing.
Wraith: This one apologizes. This one is unable to conduct physical actions on this ship and does not possess a drone module for such assistance.
Amy: Right, sorry… I’m kind of emotional right now if you couldn’t tell.
Wraith: This one understands, no offense was taken.
Amy: Thanks Wraith… *sigh* I should probably get back into the pod, my joints are killing me…
You really pulled through for me Jim… thank you… thank you so much.
Wraith: What Jim did was considered to be statistically impossible. It came at great physical cost to the facility, but to be able to defeat a Berserker and a Stalker alone is a feat recorded by only the elite of Faar’Shar warriors.
Amy: Yeah well he’s a tenacious bastard, that’s always gonna be true.
Wraith: Humans are certainly more… interesting than this one originally thought.
Amy: Yeah well let’s hope Jim and I don’t have to demonstrate how interesting we are any time soon.
Wraith: Indeed, you deserve rest.
Amy: So what’s his status now?
Wraith: His condition is steadily improving, but it will still take till tomorrow till he recovers consciousness, and more so after that for a full recovery
Amy: Gotcha… guess that means I should get back in as well.
Wraith: Correct, this one wishes you a swift recovery.
Amy: Thanks Wraith… and thank you Jim.
